The workshop “Watercolor: Still life” is a good opportunity to exercise and learn the watercolor technique alla prima*.
We will learn how to apply layers, mix colors, enjoy the chaos water provides, and see it as an adventure which can give new input for future creativity. After a bit of practice, this technique can become a joyful play with water, colors, and flow.
We will provide paper. Participants should bring their own watercolors and brushes.
*Alla prima refers to a direct painting approach where paint is applied wet on wet without letting earlier layers dry.
The proficiency of participants is not that important. It can be useful for professionals who would like to improve their art technique as well as for beginners who are looking forward to exploring new ways of creating watercolors.
The workshop will be held in English, with the possibility to ask specific questions or to get an additional individual explanation in German, Ukrainian, or Russian.
