With the advent of photography, the practice of representing nature became less important. This development gave artists the wonderful opportunity to experiment with materials and forms of representation. One such experiment was the collage, which already has more than one hundred years of history. There are many ways to create a collage, but during this workshop we will concentrate on a realistic approach of representation. We will cut old magazines into small pieces and make an illusion of an object’s volume with color and tone. For this workshop, participants can use some basic knowledge from the first workshop with pencil (participants can still attend if they have not attended the previous workshop).
The workshop will be held in English, with the possibility to ask specific questions or to get an additional individual explanation in German, Ukrainian, or Russian.
All materials are included.
